Supporting the Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease with Audio Visual Technology
The Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease is the UK's first purpose-built facility dedicated entirely to Motor Neurone Disease (MND) care, research, education, and holistic support.
Client: Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust
Location: Seacroft Hospital, Leeds
Scope: A dedicated large screen video conferencing system for the Centre’s conference meeting room, alongside a Smart screen for the Hayes Haven Family Room.
Project Brief
It was a pleasure and a privilege for AV2000 to be involved with the Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease at Seacroft Hospital in Leeds.
We were proud to contribute to such an important centre for people living with motor neurone disease and their families.
Our work covered two spaces: a large-screen video conferencing system for the conference meeting room, and a 75-inch Smart screen which we donated and installed in the Hayes Haven Family Room.
The Result
The completed installation gives the centre a dedicated large screen video conferencing system for its conference meeting room, alongside a Smart screen for the Hayes Haven Family Room. For AV2000, being involved in a project with such personal importance to patients and families was a privilege. We are pleased to have played a small part in supporting the centre and the people it serves.
Benefits delivered:
· A dedicated conference room system for meetings with remote participants
· A large display for shared presentations and video content
· Convenient wired connections for meeting room equipment
· A donated Smart screen for families to enjoy together
· A practical contribution to an important centre and its community
The Solution
For the conference meeting room, we installed an 86 inch LG LED screen, providing a large display for presentations and video conferencing calls.
The video conferencing system combines a Yealink SmartVision 40 video soundbar with a Yealink VCM36W wireless microphone, delivering full audio coverage for the room allowing people to be heard clearly during Microsoft Teams Meetings.
A wall plate with USB-A and HDMI connections provides convenient connection points for laptops to be connected to the system
We also donated and installed a 75 inch Samsung Smart screen in the Hayes Haven Family Room. This was a particularly meaningful part of the project for our team, giving us an opportunity to make a direct contribution to a space for families.
We hope the screen offers families moments of relaxation and shared enjoyment during their time at the centre. It was our pleasure to provide it as a small gesture of support for the people who use this important facility.
