Project Brief
Halsall M&E required a modern, high-performance audio visual solution for their head office auditorium in Cannock. The space needed to support a range of functions including presentations, internal communications, training sessions, and collaborative meetings.
The system was required to deliver high-impact visuals, clear and intelligible audio, and intuitive control, while remaining flexible enough to accommodate a variety of content sources and user requirements. Ease of use was critical to ensure that non-technical staff could operate the system confidently without support.
The Solution
We delivered a fully integrated AV solution designed to provide a seamless and professional user experience, combining high-brightness projection, flexible input options, and a powerful audio system.
At the heart of the system is an Epson PU-1008B laser projector, providing 8500 ANSI lumens of brightness. This ensures clear, vibrant image reproduction even in ambient light conditions. The projector is paired with a large fixed-frame projection screen, delivering a high-quality visual canvas suitable for presentations, video content, and corporate communications.
A Barco ClickShare Conference CX-30 enables simple, wireless content sharing, allowing users to present directly from their devices without the need for cables. This is complemented by a range of wired inputs, including an Extron HDMI input plate and integrated media sources such as a Roku Streaming 4K for flexible content playback.
Signal management and system processing are handled by Extron, with an IN1604 scaling switcher providing seamless switching between sources and ensuring optimal image quality at all times. Control is delivered via an Extron TLP Pro 725M, powered by an IPCP Pro control processor, giving users simple and intuitive control over all system functions.
Audio performance was a key focus, particularly for speech reinforcement in a larger auditorium environment. A combination of Sennheiser SpeechLine wireless microphones and Biamp ceiling microphones provide flexible, high-quality speech capture for presenters and audience interaction.
Audio processing is managed via a Biamp Tesira DSP platform, ensuring clear, balanced audio throughout the space. Sound reinforcement is delivered through a distributed speaker system from Cornered Audio, supported by amplification from ClearOne and Australian Monitor, providing consistent and intelligible coverage across the auditorium.
A lectern was installed to provide a professional presentation position, integrating control interfaces and connectivity to support a wide range of user scenarios.
